The Science Of Finding a Job Nancy Schreimann 9780615726212 Books
I bought the Kindle version of this book on the recommendation of a friend. I was skeptical thinking that I knew everything there was to finding a job, but am smart enough to know that you're never too old to learn and you don't know what you don't know. And sure enough there were things I learned throughout the book. However, my most important takeaway, and what the book continually emphasizes throughout, is the importance of realizing that you should treat your job search no different than you would if you were managing a critical project within an organization.
While my thinking was correct, I did know lots about finding a job, I was not approaching my job search in an orderly, well thought out manner (e.g. a project). My approach was inefficient and frustrating.
Quick read and well worth your money and time if you're not getting the interviews you hoped to.
