In the Survivors' Future, the Farchitects of Alluvium protect and preserve the last, dying city, Alluvium, last bastion of humanity. Theirs is a collective, harsh existence. Genetic predetermination decides their fate. All sacrifice for the city. There is no love, no hate, and no desire. There is only unity of purpose and, finally, death. But one fateful night, one of their number discovers a mysterious device, a device that transports her far from her home, a device that takes her to a distant, wind-swept plain. There she encounters a strange people whose leader has been stricken by a mysterious illness. Trapped, Class One Engineer, Zero Generation must find her way home, but to do so she must awaken lusts and desires that her dying future have long forgotten. She must cure this leader of his impotence and restore him to his rightful path. For he is to be none other than the Great Khan, Genghis.
History has been diverted from its proper path and only she can set it right. From its quiver she must draw the empire's arrow.

This is a long novel, and I wouldn’t call it an erotic one. Instead, it is an extremely literate and intelligent narrative of the struggles of a young woman from the elsewhere, elsewhen, perhaps other-dimensional, almost hive-mind city of Alluvium who suddenly finds herself thrust into 12th-century Mongolia in the tribe/village of the future Genghis Khan. The anthropological and societal descriptions of life in this time and place ring true, and the struggles of this young woman to deal with them are absolutely enthralling. The erotic part of the novel doesn’t come until the very end, and it is no “unh, unh,” “yes, yes” scene typical of some erotic novels. Instead, the struggles of the young woman to integrate her mind-set and philosophy into this new reality make for a long sex scene.
I enjoyed this novel very much. It reminds me of the novels I see men and especially women reading on their commuter rides, and I recommend it for this purpose. I also recommend it to anyone who enjoys literate and thought-provoking novels.

Chronosexual #1 Empire Arrow edition by Chary Lambsden Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I feel like...what do I feel like? This author is either a genius or a bit insane, and thumbs up to any author who is either one of those things. To be honest, I am not sure I loved the book, I just appreciate it enough to give it five stars. This is an intricately crafted world (or worlds), a breathtakingly original story, and there is something incredibly magical about its uniqueness. It saddens me that the book is not doing better, maybe because it is less erotica than something else, some ill-defined category on the fringe of many different genres...I really hope it gets to the right people. It's really just hard to capture in a review. If you're sitting there thinking, should I give it a go? YES. Give it a go. At the very least I will guarantee you that you will never have read anything like it.
Couldn't get into it.
Very interesting book that will take you on a journey like no other. You can tell the author spent a great deal of time creating the story and writing the book with passion so that it would stand out from the rest. Her imagination for this fictional place Alluvium runs rampant and explains this place in such detail that you feel as if you are there in person. Some may find this book different, but others will find it intriguing.
I as a rule don't read may independents being there is so much out there. But the cover caught my attention and I was thankful for it.
Ms. Lambsden created a viable , credible world that pulsed with life and possibility. The narrative was tight and concise with real thought and time
was given to character development and sharp dialogue. You need not be a fan of speculative fiction to enjoy this tasty little tome. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well crafted, fast moving, intriguing read. Well done to Ms. Lambsden on her freshman effort.
